Usage
To activate your glowstick, simply bend the plastic tube until you hear it
snap / crack. This will allow the two ingredients inside the tube to mix and
your stick will start to glow. Briefly shake the stick to achieve an even glow.
Once your glowstick has been activated, it should last for a minimum of 6 –
8 hours under normal temperatures. After 8 hours, the glow will fade slowly
but can still last for a total of 24+ hours.
You can extend the life of an activated glowstick by lowering its temperature.
Placing the stick in the fridge or freezer will slow down the reaction inside
the tube and the glow will temporarily cease. If placing in the freezer, care
should be exercised to ensure the plastic doesn't become brittle and split.
As soon as your stick warms up, the glow will re-commence.
To make your glowstick brighter, or to rejuvenate an almost expired stick,
place it in a glass of hot (not boiling) water. The glowstick will glow brighter,
but its life will be shorter.
Once the life of your glowstick is over, please dispose of the item responsibly
with your normal household refuse.
Safety
Our glowsticks are CE certified and non-toxic. They are not suitable for children
under 3 year as small parts represent a choking hazard.
Once you've activated your glowstick, avoid repeatedly bending the tube as
this could cause the plastic to split.
If any of the contents should leak, simply wash the affected area with warm
water. Avoid spilling the contents onto fabric or upholstery as staining can
sometimes occur.
Note: We take great care to ensure our products comply with
all European health and safety guidelines.
Please be wary of retailers selling unbranded glowsticks as they may not have
passed the full UK and EU safety certification.
